Forest Land

November 28th, 2008 by admin

Faulkner Enterprises, which owns several thousand acres of working forest, uses good forest management practices because they understand that in order to have trees, you must take care of the forest. Faulkner Enterprises works hard to be the best stewards of the land they can be.

This picture is just one view of the many Faulkner Enterprises woodland holdings. The picture shows a well managed forest with many varieties trees of all sizes. Small brush and trees on the edge line provide cover and food for a variety of song birds, game birds, and small animals such as rabbits. Saplings along with young Cherry and Beech trees offer feed for deer, moose, and bear. Every forest needs some mature trees to provide seeds for the next generation. Faulkner Enterprises realizes that cutting too much of any one of these factors will damage the forest for generations.  Forests are an ecosystem unto themselves and need to be treated as such, Faulkner Enterprises recognizes this and attempts to create the least disturbance possible in their woodland operations.
